The success story of the European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition series starts in 1977. These events grew to become the World’s largest specialist Conference in the Photovoltaic Solar Energy sector.

The PV Conference & Exhibition (EU PVSEC) is a truly global event which uniquely combines scientific and technological issues. The EU PVSEC brings together research and development experts, industry, utilities, political actors, architects and end-users. The international collaboration, which the EU PVSEC facilitates, is essential in fostering a sustainable future for PV technology in the global energy system.

The 20th European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition in Barcelona in June 2005 was a further milestone for the PV-sector. The 20th EU PVSEC set new records: more than 1.000 papers have been submitted for presentation, more than 2.000 Conference delegates from 76 countries registered. Furthermore, 270 exhibitors presented their products and services on 9.000 m² of exhibition space. The exhibitors came from all corners of the PV Solar sector: Manufacturers of Wafers, Solar Cells, PV Modules, Concentrators and Trackers, Equipment Suppliers and Manufacturers, Distributors, Assemblers, Measurement and Control Technology, Manufacturers of Inverters as well as Engineers and Service Providers.
Furthermore melting elements developed the Proceedings-CD-ROM for the 20th European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition.
