PLASTER+ based on Typo3 is online
PLASTER+ is a research project co-financed by the European Union under the Cooperative Research Programme (FP6) - a programme dedicated to help Small and Medium Companies (SMEs) to create new products or services, to solve technological problems, to improve technical processes, and to give them the opportunity to set up international partnerships.
The objectives of PLASTER+ are:
- To develop, to test and to optimize a high quality innovative and cost effective healthy indoor earth plaster
- To develop and to test a highly technical automated prototype plant with minimum maintenance, which dramatically improves the production process of common earth plasters
- To improve the competitiveness of earth plaster products on the national and international plaster market.
The demand for “healthy live and habitation” and innovative natural building materials has increased substantially during the last 10 years. Architects promote green building design and sustainable architecture, people ask for materials that are not damaging to health. Due to the EU White Paper on the Strategy for a future Chemicals Policy (2001), many of the currently toxic building materials will no longer be acceptable.
True earth plaster has very positive effects on indoor climate, health and the positive charisma of a building, and is produced in a complete sustainable manner. It regulates air-moisture and temperature, absorbs pollutants, prevents mould, and is renewable, recyclable, energy efficient and durable.
_what
The website of PLASTER+ based on Typo3 is more than a website - it is a online product presentation. That was the reason for the unusual layout - the focus has been on the project pictures.
PLASTER+ has been conceived to support several languages. Furthermore a secured area for the project partners has been implemented. There the internal files can be shared and stored. An image gallery where the administrator can add comments to each picture has been programmed as well - the structure creates itself automatically.
